Skip-a-Payment

If you are a 1st Community FCU member facing financial difficulties because of the current public health crisis, the downturn in the oilfield business, or any other unexpected negative event, we have several ways we may be able to help.

Contact the Credit Union to discuss your options. 325/653-1465 800/749-1465

Some of your options include:

Skip a Payment on most Consumer Loans – There is no fee for processing a Skip-a-Payment online. However, if the option is available online and you choose to contact the credit union to process it manually, there will be a $10 fee per loan. For all loans not offering a Skip-a-Payment online, please contact a 1CFCU loan officer to see what options are available to you. No fee will be charged for approved Skip-a-Payments that were not available online. Click Here for other details concerning your Skip-a-Payment options. Otherwise login to your account online to view your options.

  • Online – look for the green circle with the letters SP in the Regular Payment section under your Accounts Summary.
  • On our App – look for the blue square icon with the letters SP

Skip-a-Payment on Credit Cards – qualified member credit card statements will not show a payment due for May and December of this year. You can choose not to make a payment for these two months and no further action will need to be taken. There is no fee for this service. If your statement does not show the option to skip these two months of payments, please contact a 1CFCU loan officer for other options. Interest will continue to accrue on the outstanding balance of your card based on the card’s terms.

SBA Loans – SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Loans – The credit union is processing first draw and second draw PPP loan applications for its members on a first come, first served basis until funding runs out or March 31, 2021 occurs. Generally, small businesses, less than 500 people, self-employed, sole proprietorships and independent contractors are eligible. In certain industries businesses larger than 500 employees are eligible depending on your business’ circumstances. For more information about the program contact the SBA at www.sba.gov or email us at ppp@1cfcu.org and we will send you additional information.

Business Loans – We continue to offer payment extensions to businesses that qualify for an extension. Please contact our Commercial Services Department for a Skip-a-Payment application.
